Supported Accommodation for vulnerable young adults
Residential Group are developing into a leading provider of supported accommodation for vulnerable young adults aged between 16 and 18 years of age, supporting them by encouraging not only to focus on their strengths, but to build positive support networks, to achieve their aspirations, whether that is returning to education, finding meaningful work or making new friendships. Many care leavers may experience homelessness and problems finding decent, affordable accommodation.
We ensure by the time they leave our care, they are fully prepared to live independently, by;
- managing money and budgets;
- maintaining positive relationships;
- understand risks about misusing drugs, alcohol and other dangerous substances;
- looking after their health, by enrolling them at doctor/dentist/opticians;
- understanding the importance of living with others in the community;
- enrolling them at local leisure centres/gymnasiums;
- respect and value theirselves.
We work very closely with the following:
- Essex County Council;
- Basildon Council;
- Castlepoint Council;
- Thurrock Council;
- Southend Council;
- Redbridge Council;
- Havering Council
Each of our properties are fully staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. We can provide accommodation, sometimes at very short notice and also can provide emergency accommodation. Please contact us if you would like to discuss further.
